Reminds me of the stupid 1995 Dodgers-Cardinals game which WAS forfeited, and 
without a warning from the umpire......
Anyways, from wha I have heard, the thing that most (if not all  of the 
teams) will now do when they plan to give away baseballs at the stadium is to 
give out a certificate when you arrive that allows you to redeem a baseball 
AFTER the game is completed. This way, they can still give out baseballs, and 
not have 15,000 baseballs all over the field the first time they don't like a 
call an ump makes... Excellent idea, even though it's too bad they have to 
make such rules because people are childish.
