     Cool - that makes two of us!  Okay, I take that back - everyone but Dean 
who sees the place says it is ME and loves it too!  Not as big as what you 
and Meg have but it is much better than I thought I could afford.

     1.  It cost me a FORTUNE to have it trimmed enough that we could tell 
what it was!
     2.  It is ugly...especially with all those little shoots that are 
FOREVER growing around it.
     3.  I -think- it will shed dates, right?
     4.  Any other reason that YOU have for hating date palms!  I will keep 
the fan palm as, although it sheds those seed pods once a year unless you 
remember to trim them, it is less messy and actually provides some shade.  
Can you see the 30+ foot high palm tree on the left side of the house?  It 
provides an enormous amount of shade and covered parking, too!  (Just gotta 
clean bird doo-doo off the cars a few times a month.)os
