Did you forget about McLaren-Honda grand prix cars?  And those promoting 
Teutonic or Swedish metal might remember which manufacturers are outselling
those makes and why.  My Honda is as high tech as its German equivalents
and is a great deal cheaper than them.  It's also reliable which is more
than can be said for most European cars sold here in North America.
