Hi Alexander RM> Kinda breezy here right now. Luvly rain, though. AS> Send some rain. 18mm in 60 days, with the temperature mainly in the AS> thirties, leaves plants and humans rather parched. That's wetter than most of our springs. Wimpy southerner AS> How is the scope? Sulking. The first wet season in six years has produced so much cloud that I haven't had a serious peek since early December. I dragged it out the other night because it was clear, but the first quarter moon washed out everything. Th hi power eyepiece had fogged up somehow, so Mars was unexciting. Centaurus A was nearly invisible, so I contented myself with a glob or two and that lovely deep red carbon star near Beta Crux. About half an hour, tops. AS> Did you see the nice pictures of the dirty AS> snowball on SBS.? No, but the magazines are full of them. I find comet photos interesting, but they do nothing for my sense of wonder. A comet has to be *seen*... Cheers --- PPoint 1.88* Origin: Silicon Heaven (3:711/934.16) SEEN-BY: 711/934 712/610 624 @PATH: 711/934 |
