Thanks for the reply about the BCD inflator.  I guess my thoughts about
the used inflator more or less reflect my feelings on consumerism at
large.  It rankles me to add to our growing pile of useless junk when
repair and re-use are possible.  It would not bother me so much not to
re-use and repair things if it were common practice for us to recycle
used gear or their componants.  With $10.00 or less in parts a used
inflator can be all but totally overhauled making it no longer part of
the junk pile.  Of course at some point this becomes impractical from a
wear standpoint but I have only seen one of these in my travels, and
this was damaged by dropping something on it.
