What could they learn about radiation from dummies that they couldn't
learn from photographic film in light-tight containers, with or without
some degree of radiation shielding?  Sorry, that doesn't wash.

I would consider this to be a viable possability for sightings in that
era IN RUSSIA, however there is no way that this could explain objects
which hover or move at apparently supersonic speeds, yet do not create
sonic booms - or any sound whatsover, with the exception of a few reports
of a humming sound occasionally heard from nearby UFO's.

I will concede that there are top-secret military units, both then and
now.  I will also mention that they have produced anti-gravity in the
lab in the past year or two - using two different methods!  One involves
spinning a superconductive disk in a strong magnetic field, which
produced a "column" of reduced gravity over it.  The other is produced
using only a very powerful magnetic field.  Just this evening I watched
a documentary on the Discovery channel which featured the latter.  They
showed a die, (half a pair of dice), a living cockroach and a live frog
suspended in free space.  The creatures apparently suffered no negative
effects from their short-term weightlessness.  The one thing which both
of these have in common is magnetism.  _IF_ there are UFOs, and IF they
can do the things which have been reported by countless witnesses, plus
the fact that electrical equipment, (lights, radios, automotive engines,
etc), have been reported to stop operatin when a UFO is in the area, plus
the reported spinning of compasses, I believe it is logical to assume
that the UFO's, (whatever their source), utilizes very powerful magnetic
fields as part of their levitation/propulsion systems.

Doesn't prove a thing.  Do you actually think the CIA - the head of the
American trenchcoat society - would ADMIT that such a project exists?

Uh huh... Why is it that jet fighters can't seem to get close to them,
and when they do, they usually have some kind of major malfunction,
causing a crash?  I have heard a recording, (transcript?) of the last
transmission made by the lead pilot in the infamous Flight 19: Something
like "It's HUGE!... Don't come after me,"  He certainly wouldn't have
said anything like that unless he were actually close to SOMETHING that
he had never seen before, at least at close range.  The next thing that
was seen or heard of him was when the wreckage of his plane was found:
Every single piece bigger than one square inch was riddled with holes: It
looked like Swiss cheese, or like it had been hit with one heck of a
shotgun blast!  Interesting side note: There were no traces of human
remains found in or near the wreckage!  Why not?  What happened to him?
If he had been "chasing" the planet Venus, (as some have said), and
blacked out from lack of oxygen, (his plane was not equipped with
oxygen), one would think that there would have been human remains in the
plane or neaby - and if that were the case, how can you explain the
"swiss cheese"?

Would our military fly dangerously into commercial air lanes?  Perhaps,
but ONLY if they absoloutely KNEW that they could avoid collision... or
if they were so out of control that they couldn't get OUT of the air
lanes.  Yer pays yer money and yer takes yer choice.
 
There's so darn much evidence, but the problem is sorting out the wheat
from the chaff.  There is good evidence, and there is bad evidence, and
it's impossible to sort out the good from the bad - the accurate from the
fakes, the halucinations and the outright lies for certain.
