  Before feeding the sharks, oops, I mean engaging a lawyer you might want
to contact your local post office and have them put you in touch with the
postal inspectors. Those folks carry more clout than anyone imagines. They
also act quickly and the penealtys for mail fraud are not something any sane
person would want to deal with. So hold the pups and sic the feds on him...
and the best part is it won't cost you a cent.
