In a message to me you asked,
DG> Unfortionatly, 1967 was 8 years before I was born... But I did hear
DG> enough Harry Caray between 1987 and his final season to 1997 to
DG> truthfully tell you he is biased and always was..(I did hear him BEFORE
DG> 1987, I just don't REMEMBER any of it)....
DG> Was Harry Caray being broadcast NATIONALLY during the 1967
DG> series?? Because it's one thing if he's being biased on
DG> WGN, the Cubs home station, or another team's home
DG> station.. Another thing altogether to be broadcast around
DG> the nation and be biased toward one team.. That is NOT cool.
When we were at Fenway Park we would bring portable radios to the
games. The broadcasters would switch. He was on Boston radio if
not nationally and he was upsetting the paid audiance at the
game better known as Red Sox fans.
The noise from all of the "booos" at him could be heard around
the world. I have hated Harry Caray ever since.
Hopefully that will answer your question.
Bill
