Well yeah it has to wait for the response but that doesn't mean it can't
send the next packet yet.

I send a TTL=1 packet, I don't need the response before I send TTL=2 thru
whatever. Same with the DNS requests, I can make the requests as fast as
the icmp's return. The operation doesn't need to be serialized like the NT
version works. On NT it sends a packet, waits for a response, 3 times, then
it does the dns lookup, then it increases the TTL and repeats. It doesn't
need to wait like that.
