That's the NT version, the unix version blasts out a bunch of packets
compared to how it works on NT. I believe it doesn't wait for an icmp reply
before sending ttl=2, 3, 4, 5 and so on. I think it also sends 3 of each
during this blast.

Only the NT version, try it on linux and it cranks so fast that it's
obvious it's not worried about flooding. I think that's because the unix
version was written thinking it would be on the network and the NT version
was written with modems in mind but that's just a guess.
