It depends on what you want to do with it.  I don't currently own either
unit but use both, mostly the II, for a tech project that I am finishing
up with.  In my opinion, note that opinion is the operative word here,
if you are looking for more capability there are other ways to go that
really will give you different options, ie a housing or a SLR system
like the Nikon RS.  Admitted I have not used the EX very much but what
I have done could have been done with the II with no problem.
