subject: Drying Apples

Hi Wanda,

Haven't seen anything on orange slices. The ones in the store look like they
have clear acrylic type coating on them.
WG > Are the apple slices suppossed to stay curled up? I dried some a while

Most that I have ever seen are flat. Maybe they curled because they dried
too fast, or maybe they need to have a piece of screen over them to keep them
from curling. In a dehydrator they wouldn't be able to curl because the
trays aren't deep enough.
Remember, you can get 3 shapes from the apples. Cut side to side, you get a
circle. Cut top to bottom, you can get some oval and heart shapes.
Good Luck,
Donna
