No of course not, but they aren't working on a perfect version of windows.
W2K has about 10 services that are started by default, XP has more,
Longhorn has like 25 services started by default.
XPsp2 was supposed to be more secure, so is it? Are any of the newer
versions of windows more secure than previous versions? In this last round
of post XPsp2 patches did you notice that NT4 had only 1 while W2K had 6
and XPsp2 had 7?
What I would like is for microsoft to realize the perfect version of
windows is in the OTHER DIRECTION... what we get instead of an honest
sensible attempt to really make a more secure OS is we the dot net
extensions added in now which require patches all their own.. we don't even
get pumps, we get mops and buckets and more leaks.
