I've noticed that.  Heck, even in El Paso, which isn't really farm country, 
about 75% of the trucks on the lots were 4x4.  Mainly because El Paso is in 
the middle of the desert...
It's hard to find a 4x2 in good shape there.. they're usually banged up 
within 4 or 5 years, since nearly all of them are work trucks.
