You'll also be happy to hear that the tsunami warning system that has 
been installed on the west coast of Canada successfully detected the 
wave as it approached Canadian shores, and issued an appropriate 
warning: 
  
"Abandon all sandcastles. A tsunami five centimetres high will arrive 
in two hours!" 
  
Yes, in essence the story is true. The tsunami had diminished to a 
height of about 5 cm when it got to Vancouver Island, but nevertheless 
it was detected. 
  
Nobody ran from it, of course.
