subject: plywood tanks

Has anyone built, or does anyone have, a tank built according to the
following text file?
 CH> === Begin Plytank.Txt ===
 CH> How To Build a 100 and a 240 Gallon Plywood Tank
 CH> 2 2" x 4" x 96" select and srraight pine, free of large knots.
What I'm wondering, is what the heck is done with the 2x4's? From their
length, I gather they are intended to go the length of the tank, but where
are they positioned? Is it flush against the sides? Are they nailed in?
Are they intended as a brace for the ends? Are there screws in the ends of
the tank, going through to the 2x4's to hold the ends in? What the heck is
the purpose of these things?
