 Hi Charles
I haven't used or installed a WD drive since early last year...
I had 5 drives die within a year of installation in customers
machines. One of these customers was an accounting firm that ignored
my recommendation to use a tape backup. It cost them $5000.00 to
recover their data... Needless to say people weren't very happy with
me as I was the one who recommended and installed these drives...
It probably cost me close to $1000.00 in lost revenue because of
these faulty drives plus the bad PR caused by people complaining
about my work (I'm held responsible as I recommended these drives).
The early Caviars were good drives but once they got over a gig
 things kind of fell apart...
I've used nothing but Quantum or Maxtor drives since and been very
 happy with them.
I just don't trust Western Digital drives any more.
Just to attempt to stay on topic...
I've installed fixpack 6 on my warp 4 machine and I'm
having problems with win/os2 sessions hanging...
has anyone else noticed this behaviour?
When the system hangs the system activity monitor is pinned
and the keyboard and mouse are hung so the only way out is
 to do a hardware reset.
