Here's the exact scenario. We just ordered some new PCs to replace some older ones, they are not all that old, 3GHz machines used for CAD. Since the OS is tied to the hardware I don't see anyway to image from one machine to the other since the OS license is tied to each PC even though both boxes are running XP Pro. It takes a long time to move applications, particularly some of the Autodesk apps which are tied to the individuals profile. Just trying to make things go faster, one reason I did not get more replacement PCs this time around is because we just don't have enough time to do this and the rest of the work.
