| subject: | Re: workaround for clean install with Vista Upgrade DVD |
From: mike So why is Microsoft making its Vista users jump through hoops when they really do not have to? Why state the need for an valid XP installation as a prerequisite if it is not really needed? Are the various Microsoft departments in competition with each other to see who can piss off the users the most? /m On Wed, 31 Jan 2007 20:43:10 -0500, "Rich Gauszka" wrote: >looks like the loophole is to install Vista twice - > >http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=5932 > >Microsoft internal documentation reveals workaround for Vista Upgrade DVDs >with no need for a previous version of Windows > > >Just when everyone thought that all hope was lost when it comes to >performing a clean install with a Windows Vista Upgrade DVD, a gleam of >light can now be seen at the end of the tunnel.
