Hi Bill,

Please remember to turn off html on this list.

Errorlevels were really only required in the days of DOS. Under Windows you
can configure your Task Scheduler to run a batch file every 20 or 30 minutes
in the background which could run Fastecho or Fmail to scan for messages
as needed and place them in your outbound folder.

I'd suggest using a real a mailer like Argus (or even Frontdoor under
NetSerial), to send your outbound packets out to your fido hub, and accept
incoming packets to toss into your message base. It can also be done with
other tools like irex.

If you use Argus you could even have that replace elesrev/telsrv and let
Argus manage all the inbound telnet connections, and then run a batch file
that passes the caller to EleBBS and afterwards checks for Errorlevels and
runs FastEcho or FMail to scan if a Metmail/FTN message was entered by
the user, rather then needing to use Task Scheduler.

There are examples of how to configure Argus, FD, and even Irex on the
EleBBS FAQ page.

Regards, Mike
