Sounds like a variation of the Image Prep option, where you could create a
custom loadable image, that would run thru the detect phase during first
boot after the drive is imaged.
Like the tool OEM's can use to have a semi standard image, include the
specific drivers for all their hardware, and then when the machine is first
turned on, it detects what system it's on, and installs appropriately.
