As a suggestion... if accurate time is important to you, use a GPS.
Their clocks are calibrated in real time by an atomic clock in the
transmitting satellite. Accuracy is within a few nanoseconds.
As an added benefit, a GPS is a really fun gadget, especially when
connected to a radio (obligatory on-topic word) or computer.
