I did watch the game and what Niedermeyer did to Forsberg is no were than
what Forsberg had done to a number of other hockey players over here.
Peter is a tough boy who likes to dish out punishment.

We're in the process of changing the rules so that the goalie gets less
protection and the Slovak goal tender was well outside his crease. But I
agree that the incident was edgy.
But remember that these games were refereed by refs who were not Canadians
and they let these incidents go.
