Honestly though, how many people keep sheet metal and cutters with them?  One 
time I had a line rupture (for the rear brakes).... I had just installed a 
new master cylinder the week before, and had kinked the line (causing it to 
crack).  My master cylinder came with plastic plugs; I unscrewed the line and 
put one of the plugs in and made it home with no problems and very firm 
brakes...
