Now I do recall that the inspections were limited to the Lower Mainland and
Vancouver Island but I also thought that they had disappeared as a result
of the present government's austerity drive.

Up here insurance companies which are asked to insure used vehicles will
require a full inspection of these vehicles before issuing the policy.
