George bless his heart took the helm and explained it all. I was upset because it looks like this speration thing... but it was actually to show how deaf peole can do art too... It's so AMAZING that you'd have to even TELL people that? Reminds me of another hair puller. There are actually hearing people out there who think deaf /Deaf people can't have sex. I mean duh! Its' like hearing is the all of end all you know? YOu prolly can't die either unless you can hear (haha) email: On 4 Apr 2006 at 14:25, Cindy Haglund wrote: > For some odd reason I don't feel like Googling 'deaf theme no wait > excuse me that's DEAF theme art'... Deaf with cap D according to the REAL deaf and deaf for us fake latent deaf. George I googled -- looks like there was a deafness awareness week thing & schoolkids were asked to submit artwork that somehow showed awareness of deadf issues -- thre were age-appropriate projects for all grades, including teaching some basic signs. . . Ahh, there's a theme to firt the art into: One example: The theme for 1998 was "Deaf People Can Do Anything Except Hear." --- PPoint 3.01* Origin: Up a palm tree (1:3613/1275.13) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 3613/1275 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
