Hi Frank

FM> The March Circuit Cellar Ink has an article, "HCS-II Compatible

FM> Automated Lawn-Irrigation System". (HCS is Home Control System.)

FM> The controller, which interfaces to the HCS, is based on a Domino-52

 FM> which is a packaged 80C52.

FM> If you'd like to see it, send me a fax number (6 pages).

Ta. Netmail on way. CCInk is a bit thin on the ground here.

I'd like to see their thoughts on this. I'm running 15 solenoids

now, and I'm having a bit of trouble managing them properly.

DripTalk can show me overall sprinkler programs, day by day

timetables, and weekly totals, but it doesn't print yet, and it

can't compare different programs (more late sober programming

nights needed...). Also, it has no soil moisture or rain feedback.

Soil moisture sensing I can get by without, but rain sensing would

be useful.

I think I could just about rewrite Drip into a Pic16C73 with an

outboard rtc and eeprom, though the 4k program space might be a bit

tight.

 FM> Regards, fIM.

FM> * * Programmers do it in loops.

Programmers say "If.... Then.....or Else...."

Cheers
