His reply to me on this matter... ========================================================== Hi Greg, This would be a simple problem to solve with any BBS software with the exception of TBBS. TBBS is written in its own language which is a variant of DBII and any program that is written to run with TBBS must be written in this language. There are loads of mailing programs written for the other BBS's but they will not work with TBBS. There were only three BBS's in Adelaide running TBBS. CG and myself are the only two surviving. The previous one closed - I think it was run by a Mr. Smith - he got rid of all his hardware and software. Somebody set up the CG board for David. I might visit him and find out who he got to do it, as there is somebidy in Adelaide that understands this system. The mail handler I have is called FLAME to run with TBBS and it has instructions for sending email through a hub. I have to write a route file which is really a look up list that contains each node number you want rediverted to another node number. I was hoping it would take wildcards otherwise I would have to write every node number in that needs redirecting and that would run into thousands and it only takes 256. So you could ask your friend if he is familliar with TBBS, FLAME and the route command. If not I'm afraid he would be 'well meaning' but of no help. Thanks, Brian ==================================================================== From Greg Mayman, in beautiful Adelaide, South Australia "Queen City of The South" 34:55 S 138:36 E ___ Blue Wave/386 v2.30 --- FLAME v2.0/b* Origin: Braintap BBS Adelaide Oz, Internet UUCP +61-8-8239-0497 (3:800/449) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 800/449 1 640/954 774/605 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
