I'm running on my home machine so I just backup my data to DVD, in fact all
I really do is copy it from the laptop to my linux based terraserver.

Big surprise but not an issue for me. I'm one of those guys who had to
listen to everyone tell me that NT 3.1's requirement of 16mb made it
unacceptable as a desktop OS. Like I told them so what? Heck 2 gig of
memory today costs less than the 16mb I needed back in 1994.

Huh? You mean command line stuff? Go run unix if you want that, this is windows.

I had multiple desktops on NT4 with a little thing from the reskit. I
didn't use it then and it's unlikely I would find a use for it now. Just
give me a really big monitor and I'm happy.

I fixed 1001 little things that I found annoying. I was rather surprised to
find that it wasn't hard to turn things off or completely break them so
that they would never bother me again. I did however run into reduced
reality mode a couple times.

Troubles and crap? Isn't that life on the internet as we know it? It's not
like you avoid that by running XP and you still have that annoying doggie
to deal with..
