Hello Bob,

BL> They breed us tough, up here in the big city... fatal levels of
BL> crypto and no one even got sick.

BL> You know what that means, don't you? We're used to it. The water's
 BL> been deadly for years!

Someone was telling me that the problem actually originated further up the
line, and they all knew about it, and it was getting worse. But at the time,
no-one was getting ill, so that means that whatever the levels were, they had
to have been "safe". Besides, it builds one's immunity against said bug.

They were saying that some of the septic tank areas were the problem areas,
and the recent rains had brought the water table up high enough to cause a
problem with seepage into the normal water supply. They were sorta hoping that
wouldn't be the case, but the rains came, and then the bugs came.

You can call it what you will, but they call it economical running of the
water supply company. After all, why fix a problem that isn't a problem yet.
Even if it stands to kill anyone? It hasn't killed anyone yet, so let's sweep
it under the carpet and not worry about it for now...

Have you heard the latest droid voice on the radio telling everyone that the
water boil alert is now over? The voice goes on to say that you now need not
boil water, except for those who are hiv positive, are being treated for
cancer, or for those suspeptable to infections -where those people have been
recommended to drink only boiled water ANYWAY-.

What is the determining factor of what crap is "safe" to drink?
Is anything
that doesn't give you the squirts for the next week safe? Anything that
doesn't make you double up in stomach cramps safe?

Bloody hell, Adelaide water is safe to drink. It looks like diluted shit, and
tastes like it too, but it won't kill you. And regardless of the fact that it
won't make you ill, does the fact that just about EVERYONE in adelaide have
some form of water purification system or rain tank make you wonder?
