With the likely delays enroute? That would be interesting. I have one
that calls the NIST directly. Long distance true, but the process takes less
than thirty seconds. It even bounces a few bits back and forth a few times
first, to allow for delays in the line (espically if your phone connection is
via satellite), before the final setting.
Extremely accurate time is important espically for satellite tracking, and
even more so if you have computer controlled az-el antenna rotors. If the
beamwith is narrow, a few seconds off can leave you leading or trailing the
sat, and maybe not hearing it at all.
