TR> Would you use your shirt for stopping someone from bleeding to death?
CS> Tom, the world is a sorry place when you have to report what you did.
CS> For the record, I have a blood stained, highly treasured jogging
CS> jacket. Mind something slightly off topic? Hope not!
You gave an example of caring for an injured animal. This example is a
contrast of caring for people and in on-topic, even though there is no law
requiring a non-owner to provide medical treatment, food, or water to an
animal. The contrast is interesting, in that we sometimes care for animals
better than we care for our fellow human beings.
CS> 300$ later, I had a kitten named 'Bobby' (Just liked the name) who was
CS> in a body cast and had to be dropper fed special cat milk every 2
CS> hours around the clock.
I think that your message indicates that you wouldn't need a law requiring
aid to an injured human being. You don't suffer from the "Heart of Stone"
problem, just the opposite.
CS> as he was a bobcat, but with a tabby heart. 2 years later, we all
CS> thanked God for saving him. He was large enough to successfully
CS> pull a 2 year old, out of the apartment pool when he fell in,
CS> thereby saving his life.
Your effort and money spent in saving an animal saved a human being. The
human race needs encouragement from time to time and a reminder of what real
human beings do, with or without a law requiring it. God gave human beings a
heart, soul, and a conscience. It would be quite a different world if we
could all learn to use these gifts.
