About Insurance, On Tue Mar 23 2004

SH> Public insurance is state insurance. Private insurance is insurance

BF> Oh, didn't know you had state insurances.
BF> I have never heard of that before. And you call us a socialist
BF> country. :-)

Not administered by the Federal Government, this is a Provincial
jurisdiction, there are to date 3 provinces that have public insurance, the
rest are private. The provinces in order of putting public insurance in
place, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and British Columbia. I think there is
rumblings of some of the remaining provinces following suit after the
insurance industry boasting a 687 billion dollar profit and policy
increases of 700 percent. This is only the Canadian figures. As reported
by our public broadcaster CBC.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted.

We are a fine board trying to make it better.
