YEs, and why I used to like ARchie servers.
A kid who had a bbs back in old net 290 had a fidonet archie type server.
SEnd a netmail to archie at his fido address with what you were looking for
and his archie server would search local files lists first within net 290,
then branch out. PRetty cool.
THere were a couple of things i found through it.
THen I discovered wais, and waismail. bOth extinct now too .
