there is a windows program called pingplotter (located at the obvious url)
that does a nice job of tracerouting... i use it to locate slow and/or
overloaded routers in the path between my system and one that i'm
connecting to when the remote data isn't arriving in a timely fashion... i
use the freeware version and the shareware version has additional
capabilities that many find desirable... if you have access to some method
of running windows programs, you may find it interesting and useful... you
may also desire to create a similar tool in the open source world for
multiple platforms ;) ;)
