I did one better....

I blasted the machine and installed a fresh copy of XP, patched it, and
then loaded Mom's software back onto it.  Then I loaded the data and
changed her from IE to Firefox and from Outlook Express to Thunderbird.  :)

Haven't got any idea if her Kodak Easyshare software found the gazillion
photos she had though or if it will add them to it's internal databases
correctly or not.
