What i can't explain is the way TD acted. It started off in main() then
went on to call getopts() so far so good. But getopts was never entered,
and the trace came back to the variable assignment(sortok = x) just above
the previous call. Hmng, nothing like this ever happened to me.:-(

Win16 ? Hmm, the code should be a Win32/NT code. Win16 should choke on it
