-> You call the new Cominskey a disgrace to baseball, yet you are in
-> favor for keeping the Metrodome? That is the biggest eyesore in the
-> history of MLB. Beside the fact that MLB should be played on grass
-> in the outdoors, any stadium that uses a oversized hefty bag for an
-> outfield wall is a disgrace. The sooner they take a wrecking ball to
-> that toy stadium, the better.
I don't believe in the waste of tearing down a SIXTEEN year old stadium,
regardless of how pathetic it is.. Yes, the Metrodome is a joke... I don't
deny that... But is there such a thing as going too far?? I mean, 16 years
old and "outdated". Good god... I could see if it was as crappy as it was and
as old as the late Atlanta-Fulton County or the one in Milwaukee... But the
Metrodome is still one of the younger stadiums in the league (let's see, what
is actually younger than in.. Arizona?, Tampa?, Cleveland, Baltimore, Texas,
Atlanta, Toronto, the new Comiskey).. It's not over the stadium itself,
because had Minnesota been smart, they would not have replaced the old
Metropolitan Stadium with a joke... It's over the fact I have a hard time
calling any 16 year old stadium "outdated" and "obsolete"....
And yes, baseball DOES belong on grass in the outdoors... I don't deny that
either. I hate astro-turf, always have....
