Yeah I can still boot 98 rescue disk and access the CD-ROM drive
from 32 bit DOS in ramdrive but until I snag a decent large drive....

VIDE-CDD.SYS works for the 40X Acer here just fine but I'm
waiting on the big drive and 98 instead of swapping the CD drive
and sound card into the one ISA slot currently occupied by
the ethernet card. Got the Acer, works great, while
walking the dog and spotting an NEC in a dumpster.
No 16 bit DOS driver for the H.P. CD-ROM :-(
So still no sound, no CD and no 50,666 connects with the
software 98 driven modem :-(
Running a 28,800 external modem from the serial port
out of DOS 5.0 - Win 3.1 on a 340M H.D.

My 2X Creative CD-ROM - sound card still works and I bought it in 94 or
95 at 245 dollars! Ouch.
Of course I also bought a 72 pin 16M FPM parity SIMM RAM stick
at that same price around then!
