Yep, once I knew what to look for, it's reasonably clear.

It would depend on what type of communication you were trying to achieve.
The vast distances would rule out any normal radio conversation, for
example.
The other problem is that of understanding. We and they develop on
completely different planets. The fact that they thought of sending radio
signals suggests they think a bit like we do, but that's no guarantee that
we'll be able to understand their language.
