  I work in the ER at a hospital as an EMT-P and also work on the floor
as a monitor tech. I also am a RCNA, (nurse's assistant,) and teach CPR,
instructor-trainer. The best pay is in the ER. You see everything that
comes in the door. Each hospital will let you do certain things,
one might let you start IVs and give drugs and the other may not. Right
now, I am trying to get hired on at the children's hospital in the
area which lets EMT-Ps do a whole lot of skills that they where
trained for. Pay depends on how many years you have worked in the
position. One place offered me $5.25/hr, which is almost half of what
I'm making now.
 You may have a hard time getting a job until you are 21, unless you
work at a hospital.
