subject: cmos dell 486/33 - HOW?

Hello August,

If you can get the machine to boot up in 'MS-DOS Mode', or from an actual
DOS diskette, go into Debug and type...

  a100 [enter]
  int 18 [enter]
  int 20 [enter]
  [enter]
  g [enter]

...No guarantees, but it's worth a try. Pressing one
of [Del], [F2], [Ins] or [Esc] about the same time as the first beep
following a reset might work. I seem to remember [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Ins]
working on some machines.

Good luck.

- Andy.
