Yeah ... somewhere I have an Assembler routine that works off the 
timer chips registers,  buried on an archive hard drive somewhere. 
I was just curious to see how my ancient laptop measured up,  so 
my `A$=time$' and `?a$,time$' was enough to make me smile...
