| subject: | Alaska BBS`s |
-=> Quoting Steven Horn to Jim Weller <=- JW> I looked up an old nodelist. I guess that means there are no FIDO JW> BBSs in Alaska today? SH> There is one which belongs to Sam Bright. He asked if we knew of SH> other BBSes than his own. Oops. I meant to say "no _other_ FIDO BBSs" SH> By the way, I was in Yellowknife the week before last. I did not have SH> time to do any visiting other than my obligatory stop in the Wildcat SH> but I did note that the place was booming. Next time, call ahead and I'll meet up with you somewhere. You can find all my contact numbers at www.cb.yk.com. I haven't been to the Wildcat Cafe yet this season but I hear this summer's chef/manager is doing a good job. I do a lot of home cooking and when I go out I generally alternate between the cheap little Saigon Noodle House and the absolutely wonderful L'Heritage. They have the only two cooks in town who cook better than I do! And yes, we booming thanks to diamonds. Cheers, Jim ...
