Hi Chuck,
CB->We have installed MS Works on all of our workstations and will probably
CB->use the database for our middle school kids. I still think the power of
CB->the spreadsheet goes to waste until the user has some reason to use the
CB->powerful accounting tools available in the spreadsheet software.
I think that to power of any tool is somewhat limited by the purpose
t's
used for. The question for me is what might the spreadsheet be used
to examine in science and math, and when I can find answers to that
question then I can provide the opportunities and instruction. The
learning will be natural, I hope.
CB->Cut-and-paste and integrating data from the database into a word
CB->processing document seems like a good start for the younger students.
Including the results of either into the word processor seems
indicated to me. But perhaps they ought to be exposed to the data
base first. Can you tell me more about how you do it there?
Peace
Bob
