EB> You should have stated in your comment that it was your opinion. I
I always thought that unless it was stated otherwise (ie: An Atari official
was heard saying...), then the message was an opinion. If I misled anyone by
thinking otherwise that was an error on my part. Accept my apology.

One of the best ways to predict future actions is to examine past actions
(expect for the stock market where all bets are off!). On many numerous
times Atari has had great products "in the lab", in development, "almost
done", being shown to developers, etc. but they never see the light of day.
Remember all the hype the stirred up with their CD ROM drive? As far as I
know that was never released. Or how about the rumored 040 Falcon? Or the
the 020 TT (which was rumored to be out eons before the real TT). Other
products have taken a horrendous amount of time to make it out the door,
often way after the window of opportunity has closed. Remember the XEP80 for
the 8-bit? By the time it came out most people already bought a different
computer that had 80 col. built in. Same with the Falcon, I waited forever
to get one, but bought a 486 6 months before it actually came out (gave up
after waiting 1/2 a year!). I've been using Atari equipment since, oh...1986
and while I love the equipment, the company could use _lots_ of improvement!
