   I ported tcptraceroute to Win32 and added UDP tracing as an option.  UDP
traceroutes are primarily useful for DNS and SNMP diagnostics.  However the
DNS and SNMP probes were just random data packets destined for the standard
DNS and SNMP ports and were dropped by upstream routers doing packet level
validation.   It would be fairly simple to create valid DNS and SMP packets
for the UDP traceroute, but I never bothered with that yet.

   I could post it in binaries if there is interest.   It does require the
same WinPCAP driver that Ethereal uses though and requires Win 2000 or
higher ( I had Win NT bluescreen in the WinPCAP driver while testing).  So
it only requires one service instead of seven, and no hooks that I know of
