JP :> I never received this original message, Meg ....... Oh
JP :>gosh ...... I'm so sorry to hear about this. HOpe
JP :>everything is OK .... keep us posted.
Well, the x-rays were essentially negative, with the possible exception of a
slight shadow along her tendon by the sesmoid. Vet really didn't think it
was enough to cause the lameness. Then 2 days ago, I was cleaning her feet
and along the white line back by her heel, I noticed an area that seemed
kinda "gravelly". I dug at it and got some grainy stuff out. Looked almost
like some of the footing from the arena had worked its way in there. Called
the vet back...she may have a case of "gravel", so we're into hot soaks and
antibiotics at the moment. She went on those Saturday, and I'm still not
seeing much improvement if any. Give it a couple more days and then see.
This is very frustrating! Another da**ed horse with symptoms and no definite
cause! It could drive you crazy! If this doesn't work, I think I'll call in
another vet. I really love my vet, but I'm not about to mess with this
rse!
I'll keep you posted.
Meg
