subject: Frequency Guides

I'm wanting to know what the frequencies used are in the USA for scanners re
mobile phone frequencies. From what i've read it seems that most scanners
are blocked from those frequencies. What are they.
Here in the UK, mobile phones can be forund between 800 and 820mhz and again
between 890mhz and 950mhz.
Heres a list of frequency allocations in the UK.
85-88mhz low band PMR mainly water, electric companys and the RAC 88-108
Broadcast
108-136 Aircraft (a.m)
136-140 Military
140-144 Outside broadcast studio links for TV and radio 144-146 2m Amateur
band
146-156 Police, fire
156-163 Marine
163-173 PMR mainly Taxis, railways, ambulances, 173-176 Low power
entertainers radio mics
451-453 Police hand held radios
453-459 UHF PMR mainly security firms
460-462 Low power 2 way radios
30-50mhz Military.
Can anyone fill the gaps here with the following.
What frequencies are the following on.
Local Police using Hand Held Units________________ Local Police vehicles and
HQ_________________ Fire___________________

What are the following bands used for

136-140mhz
140-150mhz
150-156mhz
156-163mhz
163-173mhz
173-175mhz
175-400mhz
400-450mhz
451-453mhz
453-460mhz
I'm just wandering how the USA differs to the UK in frequuencies.
I'm looking for relies from all areas especially Canada and also if possible
Australia and New Zealand and Europe.
