| subject: | Smoking a pipe |
Over the past 60 years,I've smoked pipes and when my teeth got bad, went to cigars. My shipment of mail order cigars was late so ,temprarily,I went back to my pipes.I often wondered why I smoked so many matches. This time,I filled the pipe and rammed the tobacco down as hard as I could with a 1/2 " O.D.tool. That was it.I lit it once, and as long as I puffed slowly, the pipe stayed lit. Everyone in a while,I would have to pull off the stem and shake the water of combustion out but now I understand how a seaman could smoke in stormy weather. Very interesting. --- Maximus 3.01* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
